Our client, a leading shower manufacturer, has a vacancy for a welder with 2+ years’ experience to join the fabrications shop/production team in Stockport.

The overall purpose of the role is to ensure that all welding and fabrication processes, equipment and supporting systems operate to their maximum effectiveness, and that all products are of the desired quality.

Key responsibilities for this Welder role:

  • Develop all necessary systems and processes to ensure that products are of the appropriate quality and within the established cost limits.
  • Monitor processes to resolve any problems and remove bottlenecks.
  • Maintain an awareness of customer requirements and any complaints to identify any areas that may need development or improvement.
  • Maintain an awareness of new developments in technology and relevant production processes and evaluate and apply those that may be of benefit to the company.
  • Receive and store consumables to ensure that there are sufficient stocks to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workspace.
  • Carry out any reasonable request as required by your line manager.
