Previous service management /breakdown experience is essential for this role

Our Client, Flannery Plant Hire, a well known Blue Chip Plant Hire Company established in 1972, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Manager / Breakdown Manager to work out of their Wembley Head Office. 

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills and will manage the regional desk at the company’s Head Office.
This Service Manager / Breakdown Manager role is an idyllic opportunity to join an established company and would be well suited for a candidate who has previously managed plant/mechanical fitters, breakdown tasks and has a good knowledge of heavy plant or small tools.

You will be responsible for overseeing the effective management of all breakdowns ensuring they are responded to in a timely and effective manner in addition to ordering spare parts and ensuring that warranty work is carried out efficiently.

Your daily roles and responsibilities will include an array of tasks, such as;

  • Manage all Fitters ensuring that they are allocated the correct routes in order to attend breakdowns within the agreed SLA’s.
  • Monitor all plant and machinery and frequency of breakdown reported.
  • Communicate with the Service Manager regarding breakdowns that can be prevented, recommending improvements/solutions.
  • Manage and control mobile fitters through liaison with other depots ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard.
  • Ensure Manufacturer’s warranty is utilized to a maximum.
  • Ensure that the company Health and safety policy is observed at all times.
