Our client is a successful Debt Purchase business sited on the outskirts of Leeds; due to expansion of the business they are looking for Customer Service Agents to join their team. 

Our client has grown substantially in recent years, winning many awards including Investor in Customers Silver Accreditation in late 2017 and more recently new investment has taken place, creating further opportunities for growth.

Excitingly, the client has rapidly established itself as a major player in the Debt Purchase sector over the past 8 years and is regarded as a highly respected organisation. This is an extremely exciting time to join the company based on the fast growth and the development opportunities they offer their staff.


The role of a Customer Service Agent involves speaking to customers and agreeing appropriate repayment plans with them.  They ensure that all customers are treated fairly and consideration is given to their circumstances in line with the company’s policies and procedures.

Some of your accountabilities will include:

  • Creating sustainable repayment agreements for customers by assessing affordability and agreeing the best outcome for the customer.
  • Achieving individual KPI’s and contributing towards achieving team and departmental KPI’s.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer (including third party and representatives) verbal and written communications. 
  • Recognising vulnerable consumer groups and ensuring the correct outcome for the customer. 
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures and with all relevant laws, regulations and client contractual requirements.


You will have clear communication and negotiation skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to empathise with customer circumstances whilst ensuring excellent customer service.

You will work well under pressure, be enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop whilst motivating yourself and others, through looking beyond the boundaries of your own job to support others.

In addition you will have the ability to achieve targets and be computer literate with knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.


  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including Maths and English.
  • Previous Customers Service Advisor / Customer Service Agent or Administration experience essential.
  • Previous experience as a Telephone Collections Advisor or Debt Recovery Agent with the understanding of the financial sector would be desirable
  • CSA CAI Certificate or CSA level 3 Diploma in debt collection would also be desirable.
