Established in 1925, this is a family owned and family run market leader in the manufacture and supply of ironmongery, hardware chain and fixings / fasteners into the builder’s merchant and engineers merchant sectors.

Based in the West Midlands, they operate out of a purpose built 100,000 sq ft manufacturing and distribution facility and are the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of hinges and hardware.  They continue to grow, achieving 30% growth over the last two years alone.

About the Field Sales Manager job:

Supported by an experienced internal account management team, as a Field Sales Manager, you will be managing and growing an established customer base in the Yorkshire / North East area - from Lincoln to Newcastle, and Bradford to Hull.

Responsible for day to day business development to a varied client base that includes builders’ merchants, timber merchants, engineers’ merchants, fixing and fastener distributors, independent retailers, wholesalers and other distributors whilst seeking out new sales opportunities throughout the region.

You will manage your own diary and ensure you regularly visit clients, upselling and cross selling products and brands through building solid relationships, understanding customer needs and matching products to achieve growth targets.

The Field Sales Manager requirements:

  • Industry experience is not essential, but you must have at least 3 years’ experience in a field sales role / National or Area Account Manager role.
  • You will enjoy face to face selling and be adept at developing relationships and new business.
  • We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic candidate who is used to achieving and surpassing targets.
