IBK are seeking to recruit a part time (between 16- 20 hours per week) Administrator to join our busy payroll team in Sheffield.

IBK are a small not for profit organisation, supporting individuals and families with additional needs and disabilities. Our offices are centrally based with parking on site.

The role:

As an Administrator within our payroll team, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services to our clients. You will collaborate closely with the payroll team to ensure that client payroll needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial although not essential as training will be provided.

Main Tasks Include:

  • Client Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for clients, including checking timesheets, data entry, calculating wages, deductions, and ensuring their employee pay date deadlines are met.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as a point of contact for our payroll clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, and providing exceptional customer service to address enquiries or concerns.
  • Compliance: Stay abreast of latest payroll regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards in all client payroll activities.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate payroll records for each client, including their employee information, earnings, deductions and hours worked, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues for clients promptly, collaborating with the team and/or the client to address concerns and ensure accuracy.
  • Reporting: Generate payroll reports and provide payroll-related data to clients and to the team as required, ensuring clear and concise communication of payroll information.
  • System Maintenance: Support the maintenance of payroll systems and software, ensuring data accuracy, troubleshooting issues and implementing system updates as needed to meet client needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in client payroll administration and contribute to the implementation of best practices and efficiency to enhance client satisfaction and team performance.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your developing role and overall objectives of the organisation.
