Architectural Technician

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Architect, Architectural Technologist, or Architectural Technician to join our technical team. This is a creative, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with both the design studio and our skilled carpentry team to bring innovative oak structures into reality.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop concept designs, planning applications, and detailed technical drawings
Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations throughout all stages of design
Liaise with structural engineers, energy assessors, and consultants
Produce fabrication drawings and material specifications (oak frame training provided)
Conduct measured site surveys and communicate with installation teams
Manage multiple live projects efficiently and professionally
Assist with design quotations and cost estimation as required

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll bring a blend of creative thinking, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset. We’re looking for someone excited to work in a highly engaged team, who enjoys the craft behind the design, and is ready to take ownership of their projects. About you:

5+ years’ experience in a similar architectural or technical role
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and Building Standards
Excellent project management and timekeeping abilities
Clear communication skills and a team-first attitude
A commutable distance to Bath (BA2) - this is a hands-on role that requires regular in-office collaboration with colleagues, clients, and craftsmen
