The club is steeped in history, dating back to 1890, and is dedicated to providing a premium environment where golf enthusiasts can relax and enjoy the sport.

The modern bar and catering services are the perfect complement to the beautiful course, and that is where you come in with your cooking expertise.

About the Role

The club is looking for passionate, service-driven individuals to join our client's vibrant team as a Sous Chef. Working directly under the Head Chef, you will help deliver top-notch culinary experiences to members and guests, contributing to the dynamic atmosphere of the newly refurbished clubhouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise in the absence of the Head Chef, managing the kitchen, staff, and food quality
  • Assist in training, developing, and managing kitchen staff
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and hygiene regulations
  • Help draft weekly rotas and manage kitchen operations for events
  • Address employee relations issues and coordinate with the General Manager
  • Foster strong working relationships with bar staff
  • Maintain high standards for food quality across all service outlets
  • Monitor and manage product yields
  • Order kitchen stock and manage deliveries
  • Maintain kitchen appliances and ensure cleanliness

The Ideal Candidate

Our client seeks individuals who are dedicated, enthusiastic, and ready to contribute to a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • A thorough understanding of Health & Safety and hygiene regulations
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure
