Community Engagement Officer
Bedfont, Feltham, and Hanworth

  • Part time, 21 hours per week (including some evenings and weekends)
  • Permanent position
  • £21,600 per annum

The Role

They are seeking a motivated and proactive Community Engagement Officer to lead outreach work across Bedfont, Feltham, and Hanworth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent and promote our client across local communities.
  • Build relationships with residents, stakeholders, and organisations
  • Create and analyse questionnaires to identify community needs
  • Develop partnerships with local groups, councils, GP surgeries, and Clinical Commissioning Groups
  • Support dementia initiatives and disability community groups
  • Organise engagement events and social activities at The Southville Centre
  • Set up community hubs within the defined geographical areas
  • Increase membership of local groups and encourage volunteering
  • Strengthen corporate and council links to support community projects
  • Signpost residents to appropriate services and support

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone passionate about community engagement, confident in outreach work, and skilled at building partnerships. About you:

  • Excellent IT skills, including strong Excel knowledge
  • A good understanding of Bedfont, Feltham, and Hanworth
  • A valid driving licence (mileage reimbursed in line with HMRC rates)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience engaging with diverse community groups
