Job Title: Electrical Facilities Engineer

Location: London, E3 3PB

Salary: £37,000 per annum.

Job type: Full Time (08:30 am to 17:00 pm, Monday to Friday), Permanent

The Role:

As an Electrical Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the company’s compound and other sites owned by the business. You will collaborate with the broader facilities team to ensure seamless operations and drive continuous improvement in facility efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carpentry: Perform framing and install doors, windows, and cabinetry, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetics
  • Repairs: Address structural and fixture issues promptly to maintain safety and functionality
  • Painting: Manage painting projects, including prep, colour matching, and finishes
  • Plumbing: Install and repair fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems to ensure compliance
  • Electrical: Identify and resolve electrical issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintenance: Perform routine tasks such as patching walls and repairing flooring and maintain accurate records
  • Inspections: Regularly inspect facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Safety: Follow safety protocols, report hazards, use proper equipment, attend training, and participate in emergency preparedness
  • Incident Management: Conduct safety inspections, investigate incidents, maintain equipment, and foster safety communication
  • Safe Practices: Ensure safe working practices are adopted to maintain a safe environment for employees and service users


Experience:

  • Proven experience in plant and facility maintenance
  • Basic understanding of plumbing

  • Due to the demanding nature of this role, the candidate needs to have a robust personality


Qualifications:

  • A minimum City & Guilds or BTEC national qualification or equivalent in a mechanical/electrical engineering discipline
  • Minimum 17th Edition wiring regulation certification required
  • A minimum of 4-years' time served apprenticeship is essential
  • Maths and English GCSE - Grade 4 or higher
