Fabricator Welder
Hull, East Yorkshire

  • Full time, Permanent position, Monday – Friday (8am – 4:30pm)
  • £16.50 per hour minimum + Overtime & Site Rates
  • Site rate: £18.20 p/h when working away

Our client is a leading specialist manufacturer of bespoke mechanical equipment, designing, fabricating, installing, and supporting solutions for diverse industries. With continued growth and expansion into new sectors, they are seeking skilled and motivated professionals to join their dedicated team.

The Role

As a Fabricator Welder, you’ll play a vital role in producing high-quality bespoke equipment. From reading engineering drawings to completing fabrication and welding tasks (MIG & MMA), you’ll be involved in projects from start to finish, both in-house and on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and weld bespoke equipment using MIG and MMA processes
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Carry out hot works and site installation tasks
  • Work independently and as part of a team on diverse projects
  • Problem-solve effectively and ensure quality standards are met
  • Travel and work away from home when required

Salary

  • £16.50 per hour minimum + Overtime & Site Rates
  • Site rate: £18.20 p/h when working away
  • Overtime: Time & a half (weekdays & Saturdays)
  • Double time (Sundays & Bank Holidays, with day in lieu if on a Bank Holiday)

Rates dependent on experience

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified in fabrication and/or welding with relevant experience
  • Previous hot works and installation experience
  • Ability to work on own initiative with problem-solving skills
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Willingness to travel and stay away as required
  • Keen to learn and expand knowledge
