- Role flexibility – Remote / Field based role – we are looking for someone to cover the Midlands and North area, however, this can be flexible, and we welcome applications from other areas.
- Salary - £40,000 to £50,000 p.a. basic (DOE) + Commission + company car
- Employment type - Full-time, Perm
- Working hours - 40 hrs per week - 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
- Reporting to – Sales Manager
About the Role
As a Field Sales Account Manager, you will be an integral part of the Sales Department, ensuring professional and friendly interactions with both suppliers and customers. You should have proven experience in a sales role (or similar), ideally within the Wholesale Catering Equipment sector, and with a background in Distribution & Retail. However, we are open to candidates with experience from other sectors as well.
We are looking for a collaborative individual who thrives in a team environment, while also being accountable and dependable in managing your own responsibilities. This role requires a reliable and proactive approach to your work.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely and professional responses & arranging meetings when necessary.
- Promote and follow up on current deals and promotions – identify target audience.
- Attend daily meetings and outbound calls, existing customers and new business leads.
- Schedule and attend meetings and calls to discuss project updates, client needs, and concerns.
- Update client records and account details in the CRM system (HubSpot).
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, customer service) to ensure the smooth execution of client projects.
- Identify opportunities for additional sales or services to clients, including upselling or cross-selling.
- Prepare proposals or quotes for clients on new products or services they may need.
- Track project timelines, milestones, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience within a field-based sales role, ideally within the same sector.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office tools, CRM systems (we use HubSpot), and other IT systems.
- Friendly, and approachable, with a superb telephone manner.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving sales related issues.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Strong track record of boosting sales revenues in previous roles, meeting sales targets, and tracking sales performance (KPI’S).
- Punctual, consistent, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
- Must possess a valid driver's license. Willingness to travel within UK and Ireland.

Blue Badger Wholesale is a leading supplier of high-quality products for the hospitality, catering, and retail sectors. We offer a wide range of Commercial items, from refrigeration to laundry. We are a trade only supplier based in Andover, Hampshire. Although we don’t sell directly to end users, we do offer a ‘drop shipping’ service to our customers.
