The Role

We are seeking a technically skilled and sales-driven Fire & Security Systems Sales Engineer to join our busy Sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to enquiries, creating strategies to win orders
  • Arrange and conduct site surveys where required
  • Produce accurate designs, quotations, and proposals following industry standards
  • Prepare quotations for small works, remedial tasks, and system enhancements
  • Convert engineer reports into quotations with accuracy and speed
  • Create tailored proposals that clearly communicate customer value
  • Review specifications and drawings to ensure compliant bids
  • Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and produce forecasts
  • Support colleagues in presenting proposals and following up with clients
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise client value

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a motivated, customer-focused professional with both sales and technical expertise. About you:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in surveying and designing fire, security, access, or call systems
  • Strong communication skills, especially telephone and client-facing
  • Experience in sales or estimating within the fire & security industry
  • Training and knowledge of relevant British Standards and design guidelines
  • High IT literacy (CAD skills an advantage)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • A proactive, driven, and customer-centric approach
