Whitby, North Yorkshire

  • Full time, Monday – Friday (8am – 4:30pm)
  • Permanent position
  • £15 - £17 per hour, depending upon experience

The Role

As a Furniture Sprayer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our bespoke furniture meets the highest standards of finish. Working in our Whitby workshop, you’ll prepare and spray a wide range of surfaces, ensuring consistency and quality in every piece.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare furniture surfaces for finishing
  • Apply paints, stains, and finishes using spray equipment
  • Mix paints and stains accurately, including specialist finishes (metalized advantageous)
  • Ensure smooth, even coverage and premium finish quality
  • Maintain and clean spray equipment to a high standard
  • Carry out quality checks and make necessary touch-ups
  • Follow all safety standards and workshop procedures

  • Competitive hourly rate: £15.00 – £17.00 (depending on experience)

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with proven spraying experience and a passion for high-quality craftsmanship. About you:

  • Experience in spraying finishes on furniture or similar products
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation
  • Skilled in mixing paints and stains
  • Proficient in maintaining spray equipment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality control
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • Awareness of and adherence to safety standards
