Installation Engineer
Bath, BA2

  • Full time, permanent
  • £30,000 - £32,000 per annum

The Role

We’re seeking motivated Fibre Installation Engineers to help deliver exceptional network builds and installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install optical fibre cables into distribution points, enclosures, and patch panels
  • Splice and test fibre connections using Fusion Splicer, OTDR, and ILM tools
  • Diagnose and repair faults quickly on live networks
  • Accurately update as-built documentation and reports
  • Respond to emergency call-outs as part of a rota-based 24/7 team
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve performance targets
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures and best practices at all times

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a skilled engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

  • Full UK driving licence (12+ months held)
  • Valid NRSWA Street Works Operative card
  • Strong knowledge of schematics, duct diagrams, and as-builts
  • Proven experience in fibre splicing and OTDR testing
  • Comfortable working at heights and underground
  • Excellent communicator and strong team player
  • Proactive, safety-first mindset.
  • BT PIA and WPD OH35 accreditations (advantageous but not essential)
