Junior Accountant

Full time, 40 hours per week
Up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience

The Role

We’re seeking a Junior Accountant who is passionate about numbers and eager to develop their skills in an accounting practice environment. Working closely with our finance team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing revenue streams, invoicing, and accrued revenue postings
Performing credit control functions.
Maintaining expenditure records and coding invoices accurately.
Posting payments and receipts, organising, and filing invoices.
Assisting the team with month-end processes.
Performing account and bank reconciliations.
Supporting the preparation of year-end accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.

The Ideal Candidate

A desire to complete ACCA/ACA/CIMA or a similar qualification
Some experience or knowledge gained within an accountancy practice
A keen attitude for learning and growing your expertise
A positive, team-oriented mindset
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
Good presentation and communication skills
Intermediate/Advanced level Microsoft Office skills
Exceptional attention to detail and a pragmatic mindset
Confidence in verbal communication across all levels
A self-motivated, dynamic approach to work
A collaborative spirit, building strong internal and external relationships
A natural tendency to challenge the status quo and find innovative solutions
