Our client is looking for a registered general nurse to join them in the role of Occupational Health Nurse Advisor!

Occupational Health Nurse Advisor
Arnold, Nottingham

  • Full time, permanent position, 37 hours (Monday – Friday)
  • Grade 6: £39,152 - £42,839 per annum

Whether you’re already working in occupational health or working towards a formal Occupational Health qualification, this role offers a chance to grow, learn, and be part of a proactive and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Join an Occupational Health team, working together to respond to the changing needs of the Service
  • Undertake the full remit of supporting and delivering an occupational health service, including but not limited to other aspects of occupational health and wellbeing not covered below
  • Supporting and advising the occupational health technician in ensuring safe clinical practices are being delivered
  • Supporting, advising managers and human resources in the implementation of the attendance absence policy
  • Delivering a clinical service, including health surveillance, to help the organisation in meeting its statutory requirements for Health and Safety
  • Clinical advice to and supporting line managers in helping to identify key health, safety and well-being issues
  • Undertaking pre-employment screening for both uniformed and non-uniformed employees
  • Promote and deliver health promotion and education sessions
  • To support the occupational health manager in reviewing clinical policies, procedures and guidance
  • To support the OH&F team and the continued delivery of the service in the OHM absence
  • Uphold and embody NFRS’s Core Code of Ethics

Experience/Qualification

  • Registered General Nurse with the NMC
  • Hold or be working towards a formal Occupational Health qualification
  • Hold current training in audiometry, spirometry and vision screening. Other training will be supported where required
  • Have relevant experience in an Occupational Health setting
  • Be able to prioritise and organise own workload to meet demand
  • Hold awareness of current national Occupational Health challenges and have knowledge of legislation relevant to the post
  • Hold a full driving license and be able to travel throughout the county of Nottinghamshire (reasonable adjustments will be made to accommodate suitable candidates with a disability)
