Trainee Parts Assistant

The Role:

Our client is seeking a motivated Trainee Parts Assistant to help manage the daily operations of our client's parts department. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the parts department runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organise inventory
  • Order and receive automotive parts
  • Assist customers with parts inquiries and sales
  • Process and track parts orders
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely delivery of parts
  • Conduct regular stock audits and adjustments
  • Handle returns and exchanges of defective or incorrect parts

The Ideal Candidate:

You will be proactive and able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. While previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, our client provides on-site training to help you succeed.

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in stock control and invoicing (preferred but not essential)
