The Role

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in enhancing quality of life and independence for the people we support, working closely with operations teams to implement person-centred, inclusive, and meaningful behavioural strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional assessments and develop personalised PBS plans
  • Deliver a variety of positive behavioural interventions with a person-centred approach
  • Triage referrals and respond to individual needs appropriately
  • Support individuals, families, and staff in the implementation of interventions
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, learning, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with statutory and voluntary agencies to coordinate effective support
  • Lead PROACT-SCIPr-UK training sessions and monitor staff compliance
  • Oversee accreditation processes for PBS training delivery
  • Support transitions of individuals with complex needs into services
  • Analyse reports to update PBS plans and implement necessary changes
  • Ensure safeguarding practices and proactive risk management are upheld

The Ideal Candidate

You are passionate about positive behaviour support and experienced in working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. About you:

  • Formal qualification in PBS (e.g., Bild CAPBS Coaches or a Psychological & Behavioural Sciences Degree)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • In-depth understanding of PBS values, Active Support, Total Communication, and person-centred approaches
  • At least 5 years’ experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and behaviours of concern (preferred)
  • Ability to deliver training and work effectively within a multi-agency environment
