  • Fixed Term Contract, up to 4 years
  • Starting Salary - £39,944 to £46,057 per annum depending on qualifications and experience + Gratuity (taxable) and Flights and Relocation package


The Role:

As a Deputy Power Station Manager, you'll help oversee the generation and distribution of electricity in the island’s capital, Stanley!

Working alongside the Power Station Manager, you'll play a vital role in maintaining an efficient and effective electricity supply across the islands.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the Power & Electrical section
  • Planning and directing engineering management for power station and distribution systems
  • Implementing safety procedures and regulations to uphold industry standards
  • Authorise, test, and conduct isolation and switching procedures up to 22,000 volts for safe system maintenance
  • Coordinate with other sections, Government Departments, and contractors for efficient electrical works and minimal disruption
  • Review and enforce budgetary restraints for departmental activities as directed by the Power Station Manager


The Person:

We're seeking a dynamic individual with the dedication and expertise to meet the role’s requirements. That person could well be you if you meet the following criteria:

  • Strong interpersonal and managerial skills to lead and mentor staff
  • HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years of supervisory experience, including staff, budget, and project management


The Package:

  • Fixed Term Contract, up to 4 years
  • Starting Salary - £39,944 to £46,057 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
  • Eligibility for a 25% Gratuity (taxable), paid upon successful completion of the contract
  • 41 days paid leave, 30 days paid annual leave plus 11 government and public holidays
