South Molton, Devon

  • 2 on 4 off shift pattern
  • Permanent position
  • £26,426 - £28,275 depending on experience (with an increase after probation)

The Role

As a Therapeutic Practitioner (Residential), you'll play a crucial role in supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma. Your role will require you to be a mentor and role model, offering emotional support, and providing guidance as they navigate life’s challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support to children and young people in a residential setting
  • Act as a positive role model, guiding them through daily challenges
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each individual
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to each young person’s needs
  • Support young people in discovering and pursuing their passions

The Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
About you:

  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or a willingness to achieve it
  • Full UK driving license required
  • Passionate about working with children and young people
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient
  • Able to work effectively as part of a diverse team
  • Experience in residential childcare or similar settings is preferred
