Residential Support Worker - multiple positions available
Rochdale, Greater Manchester

  • 12-hour shifts (days, waking nights & bank staff available)

This specialist adult care provider delivers high-quality, person-centred support for adults aged 18–65 and 65+. The Role

As a Support Worker, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care to adults with physical and learning disabilities, dementia and mental health needs within a 24-hour care setting. You’ll support daily living, wellbeing and social activities both in the home and the community, making this a rewarding, hands-on role for someone passionate about empowering others and improving lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred care that meets emotional, physical and social needs
  • Support individuals with personal care, hygiene and medication
  • Assist with cooking, meal preparation and maintaining a safe, clean environment
  • Encourage independence and participation in daily life and leisure activities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, including community outings
  • Act as a positive role model and build trusting, respectful relationships
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and timely completion of reports
  • Support access to Social Workers and advocacy where required
  • Promote dignity, choice and inclusion at all times
  • Follow company policies, care plans and safeguarding procedures
  • Attend and actively engage in training, meetings and reviews

  • Experience in adult care, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, dementia or mental health

  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including waking nights

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to person-centred, values-led care
  • An interest in continuous training and skills development
