15 hours per week, Monday – Friday (15:15 – 18:15)
Permanent position (41 weeks per year)
£11.59 per hour

The Role

As a School Cleaner, you will be an integral part of the Premises Team, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean classrooms, kitchens, toilets, and public areas
Mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and buffing floors
Emptying bins and moving rubbish to designated collection points
Replenishing consumables (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels)
Using cleaning products and equipment safely
Reporting items requiring repair or replacement
Adhering to health and safety guidelines and school policies
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can work independently and as part of a team. You will take pride in your work and contribute positively to the school community. You will have:

Close attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
Flexibility and adaptability
Understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Previous experience in commercial cleaning (desirable)
Familiarity with using cleaning machinery such as buffing and carpet cleaning machines (desirable)
Basic knowledge of manual handling and health and safety practices (desirable)
