The Senior Quality Engineer will be based at our Fraser Road, Bedford site, with regular visits to our Heat Sealing facility on Napier Road.

The Role

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and improve ISO9001, ISO13485 & ISO14001 quality management systems.
Supervise and mentor an apprentice within the Quality Department.
Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and represent Ceetak in customer and third-party audits.
Oversee PPAP sample review and documentation submission.
Inspect and measure samples to technical drawing specifications and customer requirements.
Manage and direct Senior QC Inspectors and QC personnel to meet dispatch and customer demands.
Liaise daily with customers and suppliers regarding quality standards.
Investigate internal and external non-conformances and implement corrective actions using 8D, 4M, and FTA reporting.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure customer quality requirements are met.
Drive continuous improvement within the Quality Management System and company processes.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. If you have experience in quality assurance within an engineering environment, this could be the perfect role for you. About you:

Auditing experience – Internal audits, supplier production line audits (Lead Auditor certification is a plus).
Quality Management System knowledge – Experience working within a regulated engineering environment.
PPAP expertise – Strong understanding, including PFMEA review.
Familiarity with quality tools – 8D reporting, 5 Whys, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement techniques.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong communication and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload, multi-task, and perform under pressure.
A team player who can also work independently to meet departmental targets and deadlines.
A positive ‘can-do’ attitude with a desire to learn and grow.
