About the Role

As the Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Vintage Day Provision Service three days a week (Monday to Wednesday) and handle administrative tasks for the Charity two days a week (Thursday and Friday).

The role involves ensuring the well-being of up to 20 elderly residents daily, coordinating transport, meals, and activities, and managing a team of support workers and volunteers. You will also handle various administrative duties, requiring excellent IT skills and the ability to produce detailed reports.

Working hours:

  • The Service Manager role is a full-time position (35 hours per week)
  • 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday. Wednesday) will be managing our Vintage Day Provision Service. 
  • 2 days per week (Thursday, Friday) will be completing administration tasks for the Charity.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Background in care management
  • Understanding of issues affecting older people
  • Knowledge of health and social care policies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Experience in managing staff and volunteers
  • Proficient in IT, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Professional demeanour
  • Ability to deal sympathetically with elderly issues
  • Confidence in managing security measures for attendees
