Service Support Administrator
Beeston, NG9 2GQ

  • 23.5 hours per week (Mondays, 7.4 hours)
  • Grade 3: £26,409 - £28,163 per annum (pro rota)

The Role

As a Service Support Administrator, you'll be at the heart of our Service Support Hub. This varied and rewarding role will see you delivering high-quality, customer-focused administrative support across NFRS departments and locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Safe and Well processes via the CFRMIS database
  • Provide front-of-house reception services for staff, partners, and visitors
  • Handle internal/external enquiries (not emergency calls) professionally
  • Coordinate meetings, arrange appointments, and support event planning
  • Maintain and interrogate data systems to support reporting and analysis
  • Perform general admin duties including minute-taking, document formatting, and diary management
  • Support fire safety initiatives, training events, and inter-departmental communication
  • Ensure compliance with Data Protection, FOIA, and the Core Code of Ethics

Experience/Qualification

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and be able to use these to your advantage to enable an efficient and effective service
  • Recent experience in providing secretarial or administrative support
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads to work to deadlines
  • Experience in maintaining diaries and coordinating meetings with both internal and external attendees
  • Knowledge of how to manage and maintain databases, as well as an understanding of data retrieval and input

The successful post holder will be expected to work Mondays (7.4 hours), but there is flexibility on what days the remaining hours are worked.
