The Role

Genedrive is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Senior Electronics / System Design Engineer to join their Engineering Team to lead development activities of electronics driving our unique platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a lead electronics engineer for IVD electronics products
Research, design, verify, and transfer all aspects of the Genedrive System electronics
Produce test plans for FCC, EMC, CE, UKCA, CB Scheme, FDA
Conduct hardware verification, validation, and root cause analysis
Support software and assay teams with hardware integration
Collaborate with suppliers and partners to ensure high-quality product development
Drive research and development for hardware, consumable design, and ancillary equipment/software
Manage full product lifecycle maintenance and improvement
Support manufacturing and technical service functions
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and operating procedures

The Ideal Candidate

You’re a self-driven, experienced engineer who thrives in an innovative environment. You have a strong background in product design and development, particularly in medical or highly regulated industries. About you:

5+ years' experience in end-to-end product design, from concept to manufacturing and market release
Experience in the design of electronics and product wiring
Proficient in design verification
Working experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical, aerospace, automotive, etc.) or where a strict design process had to be followed
Strong knowledge of electronic design for compliance & regulatory approvals
Proficiency in Altium or similar schematic capture tools
Ability to lead projects and manage multiple workstreams
Strong communication & problem-solving skills
Background in a small company environment

Strongly Advantageous:

Experience in optoelectronics, PID temperature control, and reliability testing
Expertise in IVD/medical device compliance (EU & USA)
Experience in regulated product development (ISO 13485, IVDR, 60601, EMC standards, FDA approvals)
