Bath, BA2

  • Full time, permanent (40 hours per week)
  • £28,500 per annum

The Role

As a Technical Advisor, you’ll be the go-to expert for colleagues and customers. You’ll provide 2nd line technical support, troubleshoot broadband, VoIP, and Wi-Fi issues, and support our installation engineers to keep homes and businesses connected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 2nd line phone and ticket escalation support for both residential customers and the Customer Service team
  • Delivering thorough and robust troubleshooting of broadband, telephone, and Wi-Fi issues
  • Using internal systems to diagnose faults, support repair processes, and manage configuration changes
  • Assisting Installation Engineers with broadband and phone service activations and fault resolution
  • Supporting the Technical Support Team Lead in training and upskilling the Customer Service team in basic troubleshooting
  • Proactively developing your own technical knowledge through best practice forums, external workshops, and seminars

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a proactive, customer-focused individual with a strong technical background. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, bringing energy and expertise to every interaction. About you :

  • Experience in 1st and 2nd line technical support, resolving issues directly with customers
  • Knowledge of broadband and VoIP technologies, with experience diagnosing network and Wi-Fi issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with a flexible approach
  • A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
