Trainee Operator
Bacup, Lancashire, OL13 9RZ – must live within an 8-mile radius

Full time, (12 hour shifts, early finish Fridays, occasional Saturdays)

£680 per week

Our client is a well-established manufacturer within the textile industry, specialising in latex foam backing solutions. The Role

As a Trainee Stenter Operator, you will receive full training to become a skilled machine operator in our client’s latex foam backing plant. This hands-on role offers the chance to work with specialist equipment, learn a variety of processes, and develop into a team leader.

Key Responsibilities:

Learn to operate and maintain latex coating machines
Mix latex and batch rolls to production requirements
Sew fabrics and carry out quality control checks
Assist with loading and unloading trucks
Perform other general factory duties as needed

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking for motivated, keen individuals who are eager to learn and develop within a manufacturing environment. About you:

Previous experience in a factory environment
Minimum GCSE English and Maths (grades A–C)
Ideally studied Chemistry or Physics (advantage but not essential)
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work unsupervised
A driving licence and your own transport
Residence within 8 miles of Bacup
