Trainee Rowing Coach

  • Part-time, (22 hours per week, mainly afternoons) or full-time (up to 35 hours per week)

The Role

We are seeking a passionate Gap or Trainee Rowing Coach to join our successful rowing department from October 2025. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to combine coaching pupils with developing your own potential as a competitive rower. You’ll primarily support our Year 9 and 10 development squads, while also working with other year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and supporting student rowers across senior squads
  • Preparing and maintaining rowing equipment before and after sessions
  • Assisting at regattas and competitions, including administration and organisation
  • Supporting the equipment manager with care and maintenance of boats
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring health and safety standards are upheld
  • Maintaining the rowing club area to be clean, tidy, and secure
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils at all times
