  • Full time, Monday – Friday (36.25 hours) with flexible start and finish times

  • £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

The Role

They are looking for a Warehouse Assistant Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of their warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the manager with daily warehouse operations
  • Oversee goods in and manage stock adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with proper procedures and health & safety regulations
  • Ensure same-day dispatch of orders where possible
  • Conduct rolling stock takes/checks and maintain bin stock levels
  • Prepare commercial invoices
  • Handle carrier/delivery queries
  • Authorise holidays in the absence of the Warehouse Manager
  • Provide postage quotes and monitor any staffing errors
  • Cover for other warehouse staff when needed
  • Keep the warehouse tidy and take on ad hoc tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate

They are looking for a reliable and proactive individual who is ready to take the next step in their warehouse career. About you:

  • Skills: Strong organisational abilities, excellent communication, familiarity with warehouse procedures, multitasking, prioritisation, and keen attention to detail.
  • Experience: Previous warehouse experience is essential, ideally in a supervisory or assistant management role. Experience handling stock management, goods in/out, and shipping queries is highly beneficial.
  • Qualifications: Relevant warehouse or logistics certifications are an advantage but not mandatory if you can demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive, solutions-focused, and a team player with a positive attitude. Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed.
