Day Provision Wellbeing Assistant
Hounslow, London Borough of Hounslow

  • Part time, 19.5 hours per week
  • Permanent position
  • £15,169 per annum

The Role

As a Day Provision Wellbeing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting older adults attending the Day Centre. From safe transport and daily activities to offering companionship and wellbeing support, you’ll help create a stimulating, engaging, and caring environment for service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and supportive transport assistance to and from the Centre
  • Build trusting relationships and offer companionship throughout the day
  • Encourage independence while assisting with social, physical, and educational activities
  • Support with refreshments, lunch, and afternoon tea in a respectful and inclusive manner
  • Ensure the Centre is safe, clean, and welcoming in line with Health & Safety standards
  • Assist with day trips, outings, and meaningful activities in line with guidelines
  • Maintain accurate daily records, safeguarding protocols, and confidentiality at all times
  • Collaborate with colleagues, volunteers, and carers to deliver excellent service

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Respectful and empathetic approach towards older people
  • Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
  • Willingness to attend training and continuous development.
  • Flexible and positive attitude towards supporting varied activities

Desirable:

  • Experience working in elderly care, support services, or activity coordination
  • Knowledge of safe manual handling and dementia awareness
  • Cultural sensitivity and inclusive practice awareness
