Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) is the statutory fire and rescue service responsible for Nottinghamshire, including the unitary authority of Nottingham, in the East Midlands of England. Established through the merger of the City of Nottingham Fire Brigade and the Nottinghamshire Fire Brigade in 1974, NFRS is dedicated to protecting and serving the community by providing effective fire safety education, prevention, and emergency response services. NFRS’s mission statement is to “Create Safer Communities” we do this by ensuring we follow the National Core Code of Ethics for Fire and Rescue Services in everything that we do. NFRS was rated GOOD in the latest HMICFRS inspection.
