Are you an experienced ICT professional looking for a rewarding role where you can use your technical skills to support life-saving services? Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service (NFRS) is looking for an ICT Technical Analyst (Network and Communications) to provide critical support to our ICT infrastructure, ensuring our systems remain operational 24/7.

Sherwood Lodge, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 8PP

  • 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
  • Fixed term contract for 6 months
  • Grade 6: £37,938 - £41,511

Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service plays a vital role in keeping the community safe, providing emergency response and prevention services across the county. Our ICT team is crucial in supporting the Service’s mission by maintaining robust, secure, and efficient technology systems. We operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where teamwork, technical expertise, and problem-solving are at the heart of what we do.

The Role

As an ICT Technical Analyst, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting NFRS’s ICT infrastructure and Joint Service Control systems. Your work will ensure our teams have the technical resources they need to respond to emergencies efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support across NFRS, ensuring seamless operation of ICT systems, networks, and applications
  • Maintain stability, availability, and security of critical infrastructure
  • Resolve incidents, problems, and service requests in collaboration with the ICT Service Desk and external partners
  • Support the ICT Service Delivery Manager in planning, implementing, and maintaining ICT infrastructure
  • Participate in the on-call technical support rota, providing 24/7 coverage for emergency support when required

Experience/Qualification

  • Thorough understanding of ICT technologies, hardware and software used within a muti-site business network environment.
  • Experience in a medium sized multi-site organisation providing ICT support.
  • Excellent communication, team working and problem-solving abilities.
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science (or equivalent).
